Every shipment is unique, so every quote is tailored. The price we send you is the price you pay — confirmed before we pick anything up, with no hidden extras at delivery.
Five things that shape your price.
We look at all five when we prepare your quote, then send you a single fixed figure.
- 01Volume
Most shipments are priced by cubic metres (m³) taken up in our container. More volume means a higher total, but a lower rate per m³.
- 02Pickup location
Pickups in the Bern area are included in standard rates. Further afield — Zürich, Geneva, Basel, Lausanne — we add a small pickup fee. We'll tell you upfront.
- 03Fragile items
Proper wrapping for glass, electronics, and valuables takes time and materials. If you want us to handle wrapping, we add a line item for it.
- 04Delivery city
Accra and Kumasi are our two currently covered cities, with Takoradi launching soon. Delivery elsewhere in Ghana is possible on request and quoted separately.
- 05Urgency
If you want your items on a specific container — say, the next one leaves in two weeks — we'll confirm space is available. Occasionally we add a small premium for last-minute bookings.

What customers ask most.
How long does shipping take, door to door?+
Around four to five weeks total — roughly four weeks from Bern to Tema by sea, plus two to five days for delivery to your address in Accra or Kumasi.
What if I don't know how much I'm sending?+
Just describe what you have — we'll estimate the volume and come back with a quote. If we pick up and it turns out to be less, we adjust down. If it's clearly more, we'll let you know before we load.
Do I pay before or after delivery?+
A deposit is due once you accept the quote; the balance is paid before the container departs. The exact schedule is written into your quote.
Are my items insured?+
Standard cover is included for loss or damage during transit. For very high-value items, we can arrange additional insurance — ask us for details.
What can't you ship?+
No perishable food, hazardous materials, or anything restricted under Swiss export rules or Ghana customs. If you're unsure about a specific item, just ask.
